Confirmed cases of monkeypox in Canada rise to five

TORONTO: Canadian health authoritie­s on Friday confirmed three more cases of monkey -pox, bringing the total cases in the country to five, while reassuring the public that the viral disease doesn’t pose a serious threat as yet. Nearly two dozen other samples are being tested at a laboratory in the province of Manitoba, they said. Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) said there was “low” cause for concern over the spread of disease in Canada.
