New Education Policy - Launch Pad of Brighter India

-

With the approval of the New Education Policy 2020, India is all set to witness a much desired restructuring in education; one that focuses on the essentials of learning in the present, while preparing students for a future they get to shape. The existing system that has often been criticised to be rigid and redundant, focusing more on content and results; will now pave way for the National Education Policy that aims to encourage flexibility, cognition and creativity. As an educationist with an experience of nearly three decades, I can safely vouch for the fact that this

NEP shifts from memorization to 'learning to learn' - fostering a new generation of thinkers. With its multidisciplinary approach, students will now have the opportunities to innovate and adapt, allowing them to move seamlessly between different interests and fields, enabling constant up-gradation of skills.

Education policies across the world have continued to change consistently, leaving out Indian students with less credence, as compared to their global counterparts. With the new policies in place, this gap is abridged, ensuring the knowledge and opportunities students receive here, are on par with global standards. As the head of the institution, I firmly believe that the year 2020 has been a year of transformation for the academic fraternity with virtual learning becoming a new normal. 2020 has proved to be a stepping stone for the new education policy as this year has taught us to be innovative, self-reliant and eternally hopeful.
