His perfection gave him away

The suspect, Sheikh Nur Rahman (pictured), moved with such confidence during the heist in the shop that when police examined CCTV footage, it was immediately apparent the theft had to be an insider job. He knew the location of the water dispenser, had the perfect screwdrivers, and knew where high-value items were stored.

1 The suspect had been working at the jewellery showroom for over a year. During the last three months, he keenly surveyed each corner of the four-storey shop, identifying locations of the CCTVS, the kind and make of locks, the screws on the lockers, etc

2 Based on his observations, he drew a plan, watched Youtube videos and bought instruments such as gas-cutters

3 On Tuesday night, he got inside the building by cutting a hole into the terrace of the generator room on the fourth floor

After stuffing the jewellery in his backpack and suitcase, he left through the same path
