UP: Minor girl, 4-yr-old cousin murdered

KANPUR: A 13-year-old girl and her four-yearold cousin were found murdered in the jungles of Bajra Ka Purwa in the Manikpur area of Chitrakoot district in Uttar Pradesh late on Thursday evening, the police said. Both were first strangled and then hacked with an axe, the officials said. District superintendent of police Ankit Mittal said the motive for the killings was not known. The girl’s family suspects that she was raped before being murdered, the officials said. Villagers found the girl dead and boy breathing faintly. He died on the way to the hospital, officials said.
