Gurdwara opens O2 facility at parking lot

NOIDA: A Noida gurdwara has started providing free oxygen to Covid-19 patients at the Botanical Garden multilevel car park in Sector 38A.

“We are currently using 17 oxygen concentrat­ors. Patients can come to the second floor through gate 4 in their vehicles and get the oxygen inside their cars,” said Rakesh Arora, a member of the Sector 18 gurudwara committee.

For those who need of oxygen but do not have their own vehicle, 10 temporary beds have also been set up where they can get the oxygen administer­ed.

Arora said that each patient gets three hours of oxygen and so far, since the service (oxygen langar seva) started on Saturday, around 30 availed the service which is offered on a “first come, first serve” basis.

The parking is under the care of the Noida authority.

“We have provided them the space and infrastruc­ture free of cost,” said a senior Noida authority officer. “If more patients approach them, we can also provide any other necessary support, including oxygen cylinders.”

Greater Noida centres

On Friday, the Greater Noida Authority had said it had decided on oxygen refilling centres at Mihir Bhoja City Park and Gautam Budh Balak Inter College following an order from the district magistrate. On Saturday, they released more informatio­n on them.
