Sports Achievements by Students of Rainbow English Sr.sec. School, Janakpuri

Students of Rainbow English Senior Secondary School, Janakpuri participated in the 31st Junior National Throwball Championship at Gorakhpur (U.P.). In this competition, students came with flying colours and were awarded with trophy from renowned personalities of International Handball. Rainbow secured 'First' position and the students who brought laurels to school are - Sneha, Anushka, Jiya, Diya, Khushi, Love, Piyush, Krish, Shivam and Vansh Sharma. Each student will receive the scholarship of Rs. 42000 from All India Throwball Federation. Rainbowites also participated in the 31st Federation Cup Throwball Championship at Dhanbad (Jharkhand) and won numerous accolades by reserving the First position. Students who showed their vigorous vitality arechirag, Mayank, Alok, Krish, Tanya, Kirtika, Jitisha, Shweta and Deepshika were bestowed with the trophy by Minister of Jharkhand and will receive the scholarship of Rs 42000 each from All India Throwball Federation. Sports stars were also awarded with 'First' position with cash prize of Rs 5000/&Rs 2100/- each in at Delhi State School Games in Throwball (Boys U14 & Girls U-17) and Handball (Girls U-14), spreading the feeling of pride among all. Moreover, students who secured second and third position in other categories will be awarded with cash prize of Rs1500/- and Rs 1100/each respectively. Bagging First Position, U-19 boys will receive scholarship of Rs 5000/- each in Delhi State Throwball Championship. U-17 girls secured Third Position at State Level Achievements. In Zonal Level Competitions, Rainbowites secured 1st position in all categories in Throwball. U-19 girls left a significant mark by securing 1st position in Handball. Last but not the least, students secured 3rd position in Kho-kho. School Principal Sourabh Kashyap was felicitated with 'Momento' for his outstanding performance, dedication and contribution in the field of sports, during prize distribution of Zonal Sports and Cultural Activities, Zone 18 by Dr Yadaiah Marka, DDE, West B, Vikaspuri, Delhi.
