San­gram Singh adopts a school

Wrestler-ac­tor and real­ity TV star San­gram Singh sup­ports sev­eral char­i­ties and so­cial causes. Ear­lier this year, he as­so­ci­ated him­self with the cause of sav­ing and adopt­ing cows. Now, we have come to know that San­gram will be adopt­ing a school in Satara. He will spon­sor the ed­u­ca­tion of the kids study­ing there for a year.

Talk­ing about the ini­tia­tive, he says, “I was shoot­ing in Lon­avala when I learnt about this vil­lage called Kole in Satara, and it sim­ply touched my heart.”

He saw 25-30 kids study­ing in one small room with­out ad­e­quate sta­tionery or proper uni­forms. “I found out that they didn’t have enough re­sources. I spent some time with the kids, and they are sim­ply won­der­ful, says San­gram, who then de­cided to adopt the school.

“I want In­dia’s youth to lend a help­ing hand to­wards peo­ple who need help and de­serve it. Any life is mean­ing­ful only if you can help oth­ers in this life­time,” feels the ac­tor, who is also look­ing into the qual­ity of meals be­ing served to the kids, and if need be, he will fund that too.
