Nadiadwala, a true mentor in Bollywood
Film-maker Sajid
Nadiadwala (above) is currently gearing up for the release of the Varun Dhawan-, John Abraham- and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer Dishoom. After years of experimenting, and casting new faces in films, he has been told by his actors that he should start a talent wing.
While producers such as Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar have invented their talent pool, and are known for binding actors in three-film contracts, creating their own talent wing with actors they launched, Sajid chose to work differently. He has introduced

new talent and faces in Bollywood without multiple film contracts. With a lot of hits at the box office, actors such as Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun have been pushing the producer to set up a wing of his own. Trade analyst Amul Mohan says, “Sajid has been the go-to producer for young talent. He is one of the few mentors who doesn’t bind his actors with contracts towards the studio or him. He lets them explore the world of cinema, which helps them be independent in this field.”
Presented by Eros International and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Dishoom — directed by Rohit Dhawan — releases on July 29.
