Yuvraj Singh (left) is all set to lose his single status. The cricketer took everyone by surprise when he announced his engagement to model-actor Hazel Keech (far left) last year. The two were dating for a while before Yuvraj popped the question to Hazel while the two were on vacation in Bali, Indonesia. Now, the couple is gearing up for a December wedding. The sportsman is far from being nervous. “I have been through a lot in life. There comes a phase when you want to settle down. There is a right time for everything in life. I want to get married, and this is the right time [for it],” he says.

While they had a low-key engagement in Bali, Yuvraj and Hazel were sure they wanted a big wedding in India. “You get married only once. A wedding is an occasion you want to celebrate with everyone. We were always sure we wanted to invite everyone to the wedding. It will be a three-four day affair. We will have a couple of events to make sure all my cricketer friends get to attend them. Preparations are in full swing,” Yuvraj says.

The wedding will comprise both Sikh and Hindu rituals, as Hazel’s mum is from Uttar Pradesh. The various functions will be held in Delhi and Chandigarh. There aren’t any events planned for Mumbai as of now.

Recently, the cricketer launched his own fashion label, titled YouWeCan (YWC). YWC has been launched to support Yuvraj’s initiative against cancer, YouWeCan Foundation. The cricketer says that Hazel has stood by him throughout the journey. “Hazel is vocal with her feedback. Her family is also supportive. It was a great feeling to have the blessings of the entire family when we decided to get married. Though her family is into football and cricket, Hazel has no interest in the game. So thankfully, our conversations are never about sports,” Yuvraj says.

He isn’t sure where they will go for their honeymoon. “Too much has been happening in my life over the past few months. When I get some time, I will finalise a destination,” he adds.
