This trilingual film is set to be a laugh riot

-

In a unique attempt, producer Vashu Bhagnani’s next project Tutak Tutak Tutiya, starring actors Prabhudheva, Tamannaah Bhatia and Sonu Sood, has been shot in three languages — Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, simultaneously. Since it is a trilingual movie, sources from the sets reveal that the cast had a ball while giving shots in three different languages. The makers are apparently inspired by film-maker Mani Ratnam, who did the same for Yuva (2004) and also for his Oscar-nominated film Kon-Tiki (2012), which was shot in two languages.

Since Prabhudheva, Sonu and Tamannaah are popular actors in south India as well as in Bollywood, the film will release in all three languages on the same day. Co-producer Deepshikha Deshmukh, Vashu’s daughter, says, “The content of the film is such that we want it to reach out to maximum audiences. We didn’t want only the Hindi- speaking audience to have a laugh riot. We wanted a larger audience to enjoy this masala entertainer.”

Sonu, who echoes her thoughts, says, “I believe language should not be a barrier when it comes to showcasing good cinema.” Prabhudheva adds, “This is the first time that a film is not only releasing in three languages, but is also being shot in three different languages. We used to shoot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi at the same time without any cut.” Sharing an anecdote from the set, he says, “I used to tell my director to keep the cameras rolling, and I would give my shot in Telugu, then Tamil, and finally, in Hindi. It was a very different and a fun experience.”
