Prateik makes his nephew’s day

Prateik Babbar (left) recently hosted a birthday bash for his nephew, Imman Sonii, (son of Juuhi Babbar Sonii and Annup Sonii).

The actor says that the party was equivalent to a children’s “fair”. “It was like a mela for kids. Imman turned four last month, but we couldn’t celebrate it at that time as he had dengue. We celebrated his birthday on October 15 in Andheri (W). We had a rock star theme for the party, so all the kids were dressed up like rock stars. It was a fun party. There was dancing and we had arranged for games such as football, basketball and tug of war. There were around 200 people.”

Prateik reveals that his father, Raj Babbar, couldn’t attend the party as “they were busy”.

Ask him about the equation that he shares with his nephew, and Prateik says, “I’m fighting for the title of Imman’s favourite mamu (uncle). He really loves me and keeps telling people about how I keep buying him toys. He is a big part of my life, and I want to be his go-to person in the future (laughs).”
