I like being called the girl next door: Shraddha

The actor says she can’t play a sensuous character just for the sake of it

Although Shraddha Kapoor earned the title of ‘the girl next door’ with films such as Aashiqui 2 (2013), ABCD 2 (2015) and Ek Villain (2014), she surprised audiences by doing a lot of action in Baaghi. But the actor maintains that she doesn’t mind being associated with the ‘girl next door’ trope. “In fact, I feel it’s actually one of the most difficult roles to pull off. I feel happy when people call me that. However, at the same time, I would like to do different kind of roles as well.” Ask her if this image gets in the way of playing sensuous characters on the silver screen, and Shraddha says, “I don’t mind not playing a sensuous character. I can’t do that just for the sake of being sensuous I would like to play memorable characters, and that hahas been the case with my films in the past. I’m receiving a lot of love and adulation. I am glad that people like the films I am doing.”

Like most actors, Shraddha is quite active on Instagram. The actor frequently posts selfies, often without makeup. The ABC 2 actor says that she likes to show people this side of her. “One can see me withwit makeup on the big screen anyway. Going without it is a part of me that I like to share By uploading pictures, I feel like I am able to shares something with my fans. Shraddha is also a talented singer, and has lent her voice tto tracks in her latest film. “There were challenges in terms of the singing and performing Every film comes with its own set of challenges and demands.
