The mystery unfolds today
The much-awaited Vidya Balan starrer, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, finally hits the screens today (December 2). All the speculation surrounding the thriller drama will come to an end today and audiences will finally get to know whether Vidya is the antagonist or an innocent victim. As a promotional strategy, the makers had put the posters of ‘Wanted Durga Rani Singh’, featuring Vidya Balan as a criminal, across the city. Talking about the same, Vidya, at the trailer launch of the film, said, “I got a very good response. A maid at my place felt I am in trouble after looking at the poster, and another girl felt Durga Rani Singh is a criminal. I think we succeeded in creating a buzz.”
While the first movie made a huge impact on the audience and at the box office in 2012, this time around, Kahaani 2 is being touted to surpass the previous records. Coincidentally, the film is releasing at a time when content-driven movies are hitting the right note with people and finding success at the box-office.
At the trailer launch of the film, Vidya had said, “We went to a small place in Kalimpong (West Bengal) for the shooting. I think since the place is a little isolated, we managed to keep it a secret. It is a thriller. So, a viewer will know everything only while watching the film.”
Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, presented by Jayantilal Gada (Pen), and produced by Kushal Kantilal Gada, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Aksshay Jayantilal Gada and Sujoy Ghosh, releases today (December 2).
