From designers to celebrities — most fashion influencers have been cast under the spell of gold and have been seen stepping out wearing its various avatars. As a result, several red carpets and other major events have witnessed a deluge of gold dresses, accessories and elements of late. “Gold has always been associated with prestige. The trend of sporting gold outfits is growing by the day. It is classy and chic, and effortlessly creates an effective style statement,” says designer Sayantan Sarkar.

Designer Amit GT, who used the colour gold for metallic belts in his new collection, says this trend is likely to last for a while. “This is season, gold is primarily being used in embroideries and in accessories,” he adds, revealing that while it complements almost all silhouettes, gold used in blouses is easier to wear and injects cheer in the overall look.
