Vidyut Jammwal is known for his action skills. The actor, who has delivered hits in the Telugu and Tamil cinema, says that now his focus is only Bollywood. “I have taken a break from regional films because I am focusing on Hindi movies. There are many who can balance both. I don’t think I can because the kind of movies I am a part of; I choreograph the action sequences myself. So, it takes a lot of time,” says the Commando 2 actor.

Talking about the differences between both the industries, he says, “I don’t find any stark difference in the working pattern barring the language. Regional cinema is being widely accepted everywhere; it is a great cultural exchange. Good stories are getting a wider reach despite the language barrier. It is reflective of the changing times we live in.”

Vidyut is relatively new to Instagram; but he is popular on mediums such as Twitter and Facebook. “Social media is a great way to connect with fans. I make sure to interact with them on a personal level,” says the actor.

There are several fan clubs dedicated to the actor on social media. In fact, their admins, who run the clubs, are in touch with Vidyut. So, whenever he has to convey a message through a personalised note, or send a gift to any of his fan, the admins do the job for him. Ask him about the most heart-warming message he has received so far, and Vidyut says, “There were around 5,000 cards and handwritten letters that I received on my birthday. It was one of the best gestures. I am thankful to my fans.”
