Sunil set to quit Kapil’s show?
Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover, who have been friends for years, have worked in Comedy Nights With Kapil earlier and currently in The Kapil Sharma Show as well. However, on March 18 reportedly, there was an altercation between Kapil and Sunil. Kapil verbally abused and physically assaulted Sunil when they were returning from Australia where they performed a stage show. Reports suggested that Sharma was drunk and Grover tried to cool things down.
“Sunil is quite hurt. He has decided not to shoot for the show as of now and will quit too. He is already in talks with the channel,” says a source.
Meanwhile, Kapil posted a statement on Facebook clarifying the rumours saying, “… was celebrating my best time n suddenly I heard a news about me n sunil paji fighting.. first of all see where it is coming from.. what r the intentions behind this.. if I fought with him in the flight then who saw it n informed u.. is he trustworthy..? (sic).” Kapil also mentioned in the post how close he is to the team and spends a lot of time with them. He added that he loves them, “specially sunil .. I love him.. I respect him.. yes I had a argue with him.but r we not normal people..? (sic).”
He added that he shouted at Sunil for the “first time in five years”. “We will sit n talk that where is the problem.. I love him as a artist as a human being.. he is like my elder brother.. why so much negativity all the time (sic).” Kapil claims he’ll sort out this
“family matter”.
“SUNIL IS QUITE HURT. HE HAS DECIDED NOT TO SHOOT FOR THE SHOW AS OF NOW AND WILL QUIT TOO. HE IS ALREADY IN TALKS WITH THE CHANNEL,” SAYS A SOURCE.
