Cotton is my favourite: Prachi Desai
Prachi Desai (right) is one of the few television actors who have carved a niche for herself in the film industry. The actress was last seen in a movie with Farhan Akhtar. Here, we talk to her about comfort dressing and her favourite outfits.
What does comfort dressing mean to you?
Any garment that helps you feel light, fresh and fuss free means comfort dressing to me. Cotton is my favourite.
What kind of clothes are you most comfortable in?
I like float dresses and linens; they give you a relaxed feel.
How much preference do you give to comfort clothing over current trends?
I know what looks nice on my body. So, I wear clothes that look good and are comfortable at the same time. There’s no point wearing something that looks fine but is not comfortable, or wearing something that is comfortable but doesn’t look good on me. It has to be balanced.
What do you like to wear at home?
Shorts and breezy tops, or T-shirts.
Do you wear any particular outfit before going to bed?
I prefer cotton night suits. I have actually segregated stuff for summer or winter, and for travel.
Any particular piece of clothing that is closest to you?
I refuse to part with this swimsuit I have had since I was a kid. It’s bright with pop colours and has a cross back. That’s possibly the only thing I have since the time I was a baby.
