A filmi twist to timeless jewels

- Anjali Thakur

If there’s something that can give your look the perfect classy finishing touch, it’s jewellery. And, Amrapali Jewels, which is a globally renowned jewellery brand, has one-of-a-kind timeless pieces and clientele from across the globe. In addition, the brand had crafted a number of pieces for Baahubali 1: The Beginning (2015), and is the exclusive, official jewellery designer for the second film as well, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which releases today (April 28).

Special pieces were commissioned for the film at the Amrapali Design Studio and were created in tandem with the team of designers and craftsmen from Amrapali and the team of Baahubali. Talking about their association, Rajiv Arora, co-founder, Amrapali, said, “The creators of Baahubali 2 wanted the sets, script, music as well as the jewellery to be perfect, and Amrapali Jewels epitomises perfection.” Arora added that it took them one-and-a-half years to make the pieces. “Not only that, the script was decoded to create stunning jewellery that would elevate the visual journey for the viewer and lend credibility to the characters in the movie. Amrapali managed to achieve this mammoth task in a short span of time and approximately 1,500 pieces were sent to the team of Baahubali 2.” Silver with gold plating was used in order to achieve the precision and quality that lend grandeur to the film.

Wondering when the gorgeous collection will be available in the store? Arora said, “We will showcase the Baahubali collection in Amrapali Studios as soon as the film releases. We will exhibit the same jewellery which is in the movie. The prices range from ` 2,000 and they can go up to ` 90,000. Actors from the film will promote this collection.”
