NO HANNAH MONTANA REBOOT FOR MILEY

Singer Miley Cyrus said she would not do a Hannah Montana reboot. The 24-year-old found fame playing Miley Stewart and her titular pop star alter ego on the TV show that ran from 2006 to 2011.

Cyrus said she wouldn’t don the blonde wig again because she wouldn’t want to spend “a lot of time” with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, who also played her on-screen dad Robbie Ray Stewart.

The ‘Malibu’ singer says, “It’s a lot of time to spend with my dad. You know, my dad was my dad on the show. I have enough ‘dad time’. That was really hard every day from [age] 11 to 18.”

She adds, “I started driving my dad [to work] towards the end. And then my grandma went with me every day. I spent a lot of time with them. That’s why as soon as I turned 18, you guys wondered why I was twerking at shows. I had just spent 10 years every day with my dad and grandma. I had to break free.”

Actress Kim Cattrall has hit out at ageism in Hollywood and said she refuses to play “old, grotesque” women simply because she turned 60 recently.

The Sex And The City star criticised casting agents and said she has become an executive producer, so she can determine her own roles.

While on a talk show, Kim — who played Samantha Jones in the hit show for seven years — said she wants Hollywood to work on creating better roles for mature actresses.

“I’m not ready to play someone who is grotesque, either because [I am] thought to be a very, very older woman at 60, which I’m not and I don’t feel that way.”

She further adds, “60 now is different to my mother’s 60. I’ve had the advantage of working out, educating myself further and working on so many things that have challenged me — mentally and physically. They have demanded me to be much more youthful.”

Kim revealed she has turned away from Hollywood for her roles and now focuses on West End projects. She is working on her latest project, a black comedy, titled the Sensitive Skin.
