Richa goes international with her look
Richa Chadha makes her foray into the digital space with a new show based on the country’s sporting obsession, cricket.
The show’s teaser, which was unveiled last week will have Richa playing the character of a Bollywood superstar who also owns a cricket team. Her character demanded her to look glamorous and Richa sought the help of international designers to achieve the desired look.
A source reveals, “One has seen Richa in realistic films such as Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012) or Masaan (2015) in which she was seen sans make up. But she has been stylish during her red carpet appearances on international platforms. Her look in the show is classy, and characterises a woman entrepreneur who knows her business. Richa who has worked internationally, and has had her movies screened on international platforms knows a few international designers. Owing to this, she was able to connect with several designers and stylists internationally, and this helped her put together her look for the show.”
The source adds, “Richa wanted the look to enhance the character that she portrays. Along with donning a stylish fringe hair-do, her clothes were sourced by Ameira Punwani who went overseas to shop specifically for her character.”
