Preity to launch women safety campaign in Pune
Preity Zinta recently launched a social service campaign called ‘Kavach Safety’ targeted towards women’s safety. The Kavach Safety team, which majorly comprises of former army and special force professionals, is an emergency response service to support and help women in endangered and unsafe situations.
“Preity is currently in Pune to meet educational institutes and corporates to spread awareness about the initiative. She will be officially launching it in either August or September in Pune. They’re tying up with universities, meeting government and police officials, and setting operations. They aim to have 50,000 subscribers, some of them have already signed up,” says a source.

Preity further adds that the “pilot project will be set in Pune” and then the team aim to target other cities, and “Delhi is next”.
