Preity to launch women safety campaign in Pune

Preity Zinta recently launched a social service campaign called ‘Kavach Safety’ targeted towards women’s safety. The Kavach Safety team, which majorly comprises of former army and special force profession­als, is an emergency response service to support and help women in endangered and unsafe situations.

“Preity is currently in Pune to meet educationa­l institutes and corporates to spread awareness about the initiative. She will be officially launching it in either August or September in Pune. They’re tying up with universiti­es, meeting government and police officials, and setting operations. They aim to have 50,000 subscriber­s, some of them have already signed up,” says a source.

Preity further adds that the “pilot project will be set in Pune” and then the team aim to target other cities, and “Delhi is next”.
