SONAKSHI, DILJIT AND ADITYA SET TO WORK TOGETHER
This year has been good for new pairs in films, and the latest additions to the list are Diljit Dosanjh and Sonakshi Sinha. According to a source, the actors will soon be paired together in an untitled film that will be helmed by Chakri Toleti. The director has helmed the Tamil drama-thriller, Unnaipol Oruvan (2009), which starred actors Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal.
Also featuring actor Aditya Roy Kapur, Toleti’s new film will introduce a new concept — stage reality. A source reveals, “Some American shows are shot as a play in front of a live audience, but are shown as a television show. This film will be shot in the same way, but will be presented as a full-length feature film. The film’s shooting schedule will kick off in New York (USA) this month. The project will also have some footage from an awards festival that is scheduled to be held in the US later this month. The film- makers thought it would be a good idea to shoot there as there are a lot of cameos in the film. Some portions of the film will also be shot in Mumbai. The film will have elements of comedy, romance and drama.”
While Sonakshi will be seen playing Diljit’s romantic interest, Aditya’s role in the film remains a mystery. “The film will be different from anything that has been done so far. Vashu Bhagnani, who is producing the film, is excited, as he thinks this will help him break through the clutter,” the source says.
