DRASHTI DHAMI IS IN THE WEDDING MODE
The actor is going to be hands-on to help her close friend with the latter’s wedding
Drashti Dhami is busy with the wedding preparations for her close friend, who is getting married in August. “I am thoroughly enjoying taking her out to shop, and helping her out with wedding preparations. It is amazing to be there for her, and help her with the coordination and preparation for her big day. The wedding is taking place in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and we will all go for it. All the experience I have gathered from my wedding will be used for her,” says the Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil (PMHMD) actor.
Reliving her wedding experiences, she says, “I was not a bridezilla during my wedding because I had delegated work, and I was chilling. This time, I am doing a lot of stuff for her, and it is nice that I am on a break, and I can be with her. Perhaps, it was destined that my show, PMHMD ended at this time and I am free for her wedding.” Drashti is in Goa currently for the bachelorette party of her friend.
Apart from helping out with the wedding preparations, the actor has been spending time with her mother and her nephew. “Though my show has ended, I am busy (laughs) and I like it this way. I went to my mum’s place for a few days and played with my nephew after a long time. Usually, when I am shooting, I get only a few hours here and there. But spending quality time with family is always fun.” She also plans to meet her friends, whom she hasn’t met in a long time. “I will spend a day with my daadi (paternal grandmother) as well. She is very cool and never complains about me not meeting her as often, as she knows that the shooting schedules are crazy.”
Earlier this month, she returned from Crotia, where she had gone on a vacation along with her husband Neeraj Khemka and a few friends. “We are a gang of friends, and every year we plan a vacation together. This time, we took a 13 day holiday and a spent lot of time on the beach. I am a water baby and I enjoyed myself. I can give tips on what to do and what not to do in Croatia (laughs).”
