‘MY SISTER IS MY MOST HONEST CRITIC’
On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Tiger Shroff talks about his bond with sister Krishna Shroff and how his family is his biggest source of strength
Like most star kids, Jackie Shroff ’s son Tiger Shroff harboured acting aspirations since childhood. But it wasn’t the same for Jackie’s daughter, Krishna, who very early on, decided that she had no interest in facing the arc lights. Though she had expressed a desire to become a film-maker, Tiger reveals that she isn’t sure about that anymore. The doting brother, however, is happy to have his sister around him on set as she has started assisting him in a few projects. Krishna was an assistant director in Munna Michael.
“It felt really good to just have her around because since I have started working, I don’t get to see my family enough. She is like the most critical person in my life, and she is also very honest so more than anybody else on the set, I always ask her about certain shots that I am unsure about. This time, it was easy for me because I could ask for her opinion and I know that she wouldn’t lie to me,” says Tiger.
Talking about her non-acting aspirations, he says, “Initially, she did aspire to become a film-maker but suddenly, she lost that aim and then she started enjoying spending time with me on set and assisting me. She now assists me on most of my films and manages my side businesses. And it’s great. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to do the job. I am more like my mother; my sister is more like my father. She is more outgoing and bindass.”
