FORTUNATE THAT AKSHAY STARRED IN OUR FILMS: PRERNAA ARORA
Prernaa Arora who turned producer with Rustom (2016), is very passionate about the kind of films she green lights. After her first film, she has gone from strength to strength with each film that she made after that. As she readies herself for the Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar social entertainer, Toilet — Ek Prem Katha that releases this Friday, the producer talks about her journey until now.
She says, “My journey from August 2016 to August 2017 has been a meaningful one. My business partner Arjun N Kapoor and I are fortunate to have learnt the ropes of film production from none other than Akshay sir. By agreeing to star in three of our films — Rustom (2016), Toilet — Ek Prem Katha (TEPK) and Padman, he has shown ample faith in our banner KriArj Entertainment.”
Besides being sensitive to content, Prernaa has also been actively involved in social issues such as women empowerment and Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, a message that is being imparted through TEPK. She is also happy that her banner is producing quality films such as Pari with Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh, Parmanu with John Abraham, Fanney Khan that stars Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan directed by Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, and Kedarnath. She is also producing a film that will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and will feature Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
