Swara Bhaskar has relaxed her schedule to be able to prepare for her elder brother Ishaan Bhaskar’s wedding in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) next March. The actor has turned wedding planner and is organising every ceremony, right from booking the venue to managing the mehendi ceremony and the sangeet.

Swara says, “The wedding is in March, so it’s beginning to get hectic. A lot of my family is based abroad, in the USA and Singapore, and some members are in Andhra Pradesh, so a major portion of the planning is happening over group messaging. We're getting everyone's clothes organised now — my brother being the most important person whose looks have to be decided. I've got my stylists to help us. After that, we are going to plan the sangeet. At the rate at which things are taking place, it looks like we might be doing sangeet rehearsals via Skype. But it's been great fun and I'm very excited.” With one parent from north India and the other from the south, Swara will be visiting both ends of the country to shop for saris, suits and jewellery. “My dad is from Andhra and my mom's family is from UP-Bihar, so we are trying to have elements of both cultures at the wedding. My mom and my aunts are shopping in Chennai and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) for saris and we have got jewellery from Delhi and Jaipur,” says the Raanjhanaa (2013) actor. Swara will soon start filming for Veerey Di Wedding, so she is trying to finish a major portion of the planning before the film goes on floors. “I've set aside a month from February onwards for the wedding and will not take up any work. It's always a pleasure to plan a family celebration, and the whole family is always joking about how I am more excited about it than the groom.”
