Sidharth Shukla to be kicked out of his TV show?
Actor Kunal Verma says Sidharth misbehaved with him, and matters got out of hand to the extent that the show’s producer Shashi Mittal gave an ultimatum to the channel regarding Sidharth
In March there were reports about brewing unrest between actor Sidharth Shukla and the producers of his TV show Dil Se Dil Tak. However, those reports died down soon after but now there is a buzz about fresh issues between them again. A source claims, “Sidharth has been acting difficult on the sets of the show and he was being insecure. Apparently, the entry of actor Kunal Verma in the show, and the importance of his role led to this behaviour of Sidharth. There was a showdown on the sets on August 10, wherein the producer Shashi Mittal announced that either he stays or they continue with the show without Sidharth.”
Ask Kunal about the incident and he says, “On August 9, we were shooting a dramatic scene when he began losing his mind. He was mock punching me on my shoulder and back, despite me telling him not to do so. He got irritated because we had to do some retakes. Earlier too, on many occasions, he has misbehavedved with me on thehe sets in front of others.hers. II didn’t want too reactreact toto his tantrums this time too, but my tolerance had reached its limit. I told the supervising producer, the next day, that since my character will end in 2-3 days, I don’t want to see his face at all. I requested them to shoot my scenes separately and use my body double in scenes that are supposed to be shot with him. Despite that, on August 10, he came and started banging on the door of my makeup room. He was creating a scene and was trying to be pally with me. When I didn’t respond or open the door, he started calling me names and that’s when Shashiji lost it.”
Kunal adds that he felt humiliated with the way Sidharth behaved with him. “He is inhuman and a psycho. II hadhad tears in my eyes after beingbein treated that way. How cancan non one see or react to how hehe behavedb with me? EveryoneEver on the set, including thethe actorsa and crew, kept asking him why are you behaving in such a manner? Probably, he couldn’t handle the fact that my role got so much popularity.”
On being contacted, producer Sumeet Mittal refused to comment on the issue.
Sidharth remained unavailable for comment.
