Anita Hassanandani is a busy woman. Other than her hit daily soap, she is also part of a comedy show, and is busy with her business venture as well. Talking about her tryst with comedy, she says she is confident about doing comedy. “I had tried my hand at comedy with Comedy Nights Bachao (CNB) earlier, and post that I was keen to be part of a new comedy show. After shooting a daily soap for five days, it is exciting and relaxing for me to do a comedy show. It’s a stress reliever. After CNB, I now feel relaxed while doing comedy. Earlier, I would be tense and worried about how the act would turn out to be. Now, I enjoy my lines and have fun with comedy.” Anita says apart from a comedy show, she would like to be part of a comedy serial as well.

Anita admits to having “found a friend” in comedienne Bharti Singh. “I love her and she has become family. We have a good bond, and I am glad that I got the chance to meet her and work with her.”

The Kkavyanjali actor loves dressing up on and off screen and her style statement in her TV show has been appreciated by fans across the world. Anita says, “What I love the most is the range my character has. Sometimes, my character is bitchy, and other times, she is positive or mysterious. It’s a grey character. It is exciting for me to play a moody character. Playing this role is so much fun that I have never felt the pressure of going to work. My saris and blouses are talked about on social media, and it’s all thanks to my team and stylist. Fans have even copied the styles and posted their pictures to me.”

Other than these two shows, Anita also has her online business where she sells handbags, to keep herself busy. She claims to love having a “packed schedule”. She says, “People wait for a great phase like this in their careers where they are busy and love what they do. I am lucky that I am living in that phase, and this phase has come after my marriage. I am fortunate that my husband Rohit (Reddy; businessman) is supportive and pushes me to do more. Rohit and I both enjoy our work and also enjoy our lives. We party, go for movies, celebrate special days in our lives such as birthdays and anniversaries, go out on weekends, and we go on a vacation every three months. Life is beautiful and short to just keep working.”
