Arjun Bijlani will soon be back on the tube. The Naagin actor, who was looking forward to take a long break post his TV show, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil co-starring Drashti Dhami, has been shooting for a new show.

Excited about his new venture, he says, “I have been doing TV shows back-to-back and I never thought that I would do another show so soon. I wanted to take some time off for my family and chill. But when I got the offer for this show, I couldn’t let it go as the character is cool. I felt it is good to work non-stop as you usually don’t get such shows on TV. I wanted to take the risk and try something new and decided to rest later (laughs).”

The cast and crew shot the promo and some scenes in Shimla and Manali last month. He adds, “It was raining and the weather was wonderful. Both the places are so picturesque and spending ten days there was awesome.”

While shooting on an outdoor location is fun, it is also taxing for the actors, who end up working non-stop to ensure that they stick to the schedule. He says, “An outdoor location adds grandeur to a show and a realistic touch too, but it gets hectic as well. I would sleep for only four hours every day because we were on a tight schedule. I would get up at 4am and then travel for more than an hour to the location. We would get stuck in traffic jams due to bad roads, and when on narrow roads, there were times when your heart would be in your mouth since you didn’t know if your car would make it through. It was worth the risk as the show is looking fabulous.”

Arjun elaborates on his character. “My character is a stark contrast from the good guy roles I have played in my previous shows. I can’t call his personality grey, as he has multiple layers that will be unravelled in the story. I hope the audience love the show and my role,” he says.
