Shahid’s right accent

Shahid Kapoor is known for going out of his way to make sure he portrays his characters convincingly, and that’s evident in his films such as Kaminey (2009), Haider (2014), and Rangoon. HT Café has learnt that the actor is going all out for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film.

According to a source, Shahid trained with a language coach before and during the film’s shooting to perfect the nuances of the language and the accent used in the film. Now, the actor has decided that the language coach will accompany him for the dubbing of his portions as well.

SHAHID’S COACH WILL ALSO BE WITH HIM WHILE HE’S DUBBING FOR THE FILM SO THAT HIS ACCENT AND WORDS SOUND AUTHENTIC.

The source says, “Shahid’s preparations for the film included training under a language coach, as certain dialogues in the film were extremely typical of the period that the film is set in. Now, his coach will also be with him while he’s dubbing for the film so that his accent and words sound authentic.”

Shahid has apparently been looking into his character’s details since he began working on the film. “He doesn’t want to leave anything to chance. So although he was well-versed with the language after shooting for the film, he still decided to take his trainer along to make sure that the dubbing goes flawlessly. The makers are happy that Shahid is taking such a keen interest in his performance, as it will only add to the film’s quality,” says the source.

Apparently, Shahid hasn’t signed a new film so that he could focus on this film.

Despite repeated attempts, Shahid, who was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon earlier this year, couldn’t be reached for a comment.
