T-Series, KriArj join hands for a film with Shahid Kapoor
Director Shree Narayan Singh, of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (TEPK) fame, has teamed up with actor Shahid Kapoor for his next film, which is being produced by T-Series and KriArj Entertainment.
According to a source, Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor of KriArj loved the film’s script and shared it with Shahid, who immediately agreed to do the film. The source says, “It’s a very strong script that depicts the entire gamut of emotions and has a very realistic and earthy feel.”
Shree says, “With films like Kaminey (2009), Jab We Met (2007), Haider (2014) and Udta Punjab (2016), Shahid has proved his mettle as an actor. His star presence is undeniable and I look forward to working with him.”
Speaking about working with Shree again, Arjun says, “We really enjoyed making TEPK together, and Shree’s sensibilities as a film-maker have given us the confidence that we have another winner on our hands.”
Arjun is also thrilled about his first collaboration with Shahid. “He is one of the industry’s finest actors and would do complete justice to the role.We are excited to work with Shahid on this one, as the role is tailor-made for him. Shahid and Shree will form a brilliant combo.”
