Huma’s detox plan now in a book

Huma Qureshi made a public declaratio­n on her Instagram handle to stick to a detoxifica­tion diet for 28 days. She shared her food plan with her followers for 28 days and the posts created such a hype that she was recently approached by nutrition writers to contribute to their diet books.

A source says, “During the detox, Huma declared that she would avoid refined sugar, gluten, soda, alcohol, processed food and wheat and abide by a strict diet in order to cleanse her system. Setting a goal to be healthy, she inspired her followers to do the same.” Through her posts, Huma conveyed that no matter what your body type is, one must focus on “being fit” and “should not be obsessed over being unnaturall­y skinny”.

“Despite travelling and having a hectic shoot schedule, Huma was undeterred and came up with simple hacks at challengin­g times. She coupled her detox diet with a gym and aerial yoga,” the source adds. Currently shooting for Kaala Karikaalan opposite Rajinikant­h, she got her trainer to accompany her on the sets.

Talking about it, Huma says, “I am glad that my detox diet will be incorporat­ed in a book. The point of eating right is to feel good from within. It takes will power and discipline to hang in there and make healthy choices. It’s important to talk about the fact that the weighing scale is not a measure of your happiness or your worth.”
