Dipika Kakar’s new found love

Style and clothes are an intricate part of an actor’s life. And after being a part of the glam world, many actors develop their own unique style in a due course of time. But actor Dipika is taking her interest in fashion to another level, and joining hands with her to-be sister-in-law Saba Ibrahim to launch her own clothing line in the future.

The actor, who feels she looks stylish in clothes she is comfortable in, says, “I am working on a fashion line that will have simple, stylish and comfortable clothes. I felt it was the right time to do something new and creative as I have free time and can focus on it. It has been fun working on designs and getting material sourced and figuring out what works.”Dipika will name her business after her to-be mother-in-law’s name, Sitara. “We love her name but all of us call her Ammi. I wanted her name to be known. The name is very Indian yet sounds stylish,” she says.

After quitting her hit daily soap, Dipika was busy with the dance reality show Nach Baliye and now she is part of a comedy show. “I always wanted to try comedy, and I am glad for this opportunity. It is challenging as in my last show, I was crying all the time and had dramatic scenes. Now, I will be making people laugh and be seen in a variety of comedy sketches,” she says .

Earlier this year, Dipika and her beau Shoaib Ibrahim announced their plan of getting married by the end of this year but the date isn’t locked yet.

“There is no update on the wedding date but we are looking at a date early next year. Thoda patience rakho, we will announce the date soon,” she concludes.
