The Pond’s Institute introduces a game-changing mobile skincare app that helps women transform their skin

-

Pond’s, a pioneer in skincare, hosted an engaging event in Delhi on Thursday, to address the adverse effects of pollution on the skin. Staying true to its commitment in developing cutting-edge skincare solutions, Pond’s also launched its latest innovation, Skin Advisor Live (S.A.L), at the event. This game-changing mobile application helps women transform their approach to skincare, by giving them informative advice that is matched to their unique skin type and lifestyle.

Everyday about 1.2 million pollution particles attack our face. Almost 20 times smaller than our pores, these particles penetrate deep into skin inducing one shade darker skin tone, in just about four days. Moreover, pollution is no long limited to outdoor exposure, research shows that visible light from computer screen, artificial light can penetrate even deeper into skin than UV rays, weakening the skin barrier and making it darker.

At the event, Pond’s brand ambassador, Amy Jackson and Pond’s expert Dr. Rashmi Shetty addressed these damaging effects of new-age pollution, while discussing skincare solutions. Pond’s also had an R&D expert demonstrate the effectiveness of the anti-pollution, activated charcoal technology in the Pond’s Pure White Facewash and spoke about key ingredients that protect and boost the skin’s resilience.

Talking on pollution and its effects on the skin, Dr. Shetty shared, “Prolonged exposure to pollution can damage the skin’s integrity, weakening it by almost 35%. This can further trigger frequent skin problems such as acne, dryness and cause premature ageing. It’s essential to move beyond traditional methods and adopt solutions enriched with the right ingredients that can counter the harmful effects of pollution and strengthen the skin from within. Activated charcoal and niacinamide, are both powerful ingredients to remove pollution, accelerate skin renewal and restore the skin’s natural glow.”

Further, Amy unveiled S.A.L and interacted with its witty chatbot feature, which analysed her skin and recommended a personalised routine to resolve each skin issue. Excited about the new app Amy said, “Today, we all need customised solutions to match our fast-paced lifestyle, which is mostly on the go! With S.A.L I’m completely set for my daily skincare routine, as it keeps a check on my goals and changing needs. For my anti-pollution skincare, I took SAL’s advice and used the Pond’s Pure White Facewash, and it’s working already. A quick deep cleanse wash is all I need to give my skin a pollution free, healthy glow.”
