They are all artistes with a keen eye for detail: Raj Anadkat
Nidhi Bhanushali (Sonu), Samay Shah (Gogi), Kush Shah (Goli), Raj Anadkat (Tapu) and Azhar Shaikh (Pinku) from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) went to Dilkhush Special School to inaugurate their annual sale and spend some time with the students. “They have made such beautiful and perfect gift items, be it the beautifully carved, polished and painted carpentry items or embroidered quilts or artefacts made with papers. They are all artists with a keen eye for detail,” says Raj Anadkat.
The show – a clean comedy has constantly received love and adulation from its viewers since the past nine years. The makers of the show along with the actors have always given out different social messages. A source says, “From Swachh Bharat to showing solidarity with our soldiers to helping the differently abled – it’s been a constant effort to practice what the show symbolises.”
Asit Kumarr Modi, the creator of the show says, “It’s a beautiful thought to organise a sale of handmade items by intellectually challenged children and adults. I have always believed that entertainment should be positive and wholesome. Hence, besides TMKOC, all our previous shows have also catered to family audiences. Since television impacts thinking of the viewers, we have tried to impart knowledge about social evils and generate positivity through our show.
