Nikhil Dwivedi to produce a web series
Nikhil Dwivedi, who has played several roles in Bollywood films, has decided to take up a new challenge. He has made a foray into production with one of the most interesting releases of 2018, Veere Di Wedding. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, the upcoming chick flick, is a joint production between Nikhil Dwivedi, Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. “It was an amazing experience collaborating with Sonam, Kareena, Ekta, Rhea and the entire team. Veere... has turned out to be a fantastic project and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it,” says Nikhil.
But he is not stopping at that. After a feature film, he has now also taken a nosedive into the world of web series. Nikhil will produce a web series inspired from the Mahabharata but with a modern-day twist to it. The show will be set in the modern era and chronicle the life of a 21st century business empire through its good, bad and ugly phases. Just like the classic Mahabharata, the new one will also stand out because of its complex yet intricate characters, opulent setting and intriguing plot.

a movie theatre, which is why web series is the right format to approach. Mahabharata with a modern day twist is an exciting idea. Given the fact that it’s the oldest story written centuries ago, the narrative and characters in the plot have potential to get a modern day makeover. The Mahabharata we are making will be set in a modern-day setting.”
