Father’s special for Salman!
It is said that however successful we become, we always need our parents by our side. This holds true for our Bollywood superstars as well. He may be one of the biggest blockbuster actors of the industry, but his father’s appreciation still tugs at the right strings of Salman Khan’s heart. Tiger Zinda Hai (TZH) has got Salman a lot of praise from all quarters but he is most kicked about applause from his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan.
“Salman’s father was really moved by his performance in TZH. Salman is full of gratitude for all the applause that he has received but he is excited about the praise from his father, since he rarely gets to hear words of appreciation from him,” says an insider.
For many years now, Khan Sr. is known as a person, who calls a spade a spade. “He follows the same mantra even with his sons. Hence, Salman always looks up to himm for his valuable advice, even while selecting scripts, and Salim always expresses his honest opinions,” says the insider.
Apparently, when Salim watched TZH last week, he “got emotional like never before”. The insider adds: When Salman got to know about it, he was happy that his father liked the film. He wants to discuss the film and his performance in detail when he meets his father next.”
Salman couldn’t be reached for a comment. However in an earlier interview to HT Café, Salman had said, “We have tried our best as it had to be taken a notch above Ek Tha Tiger. When it comes to sequels, it has to be better than the first one. But the second part is always tough to crack.”
