The superhit blockbuster film of last year Judwaa 2, starring Varun Dhawan in a double role, carries forwards its winning streak in the New Year as well. The celebration continues for the gen-next superstar, father-director David Dhawan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, as the movie records the highest TRP ever in Bollywood’s Comedy genre of films.

Not only this, the Varun Dhawan-starrer also marks the highest TRP-rated film for the actor and has crossed more than 1.5 crore impressions on its World Television Premiere. The film also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu has recorded a rating similar to ththatt off AAamiri Khan’s 2016 blockbuster, Dangal, surpassing Sultan (2016) and has easily beaten the likes of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Jolly LLB 2 and Tubelight in 2017 as per the reports released by (BARC) Broadcast Audience Research Council.

For film-maker Sajid Nadiadwala, all his franchises have equally been a blockbuster on the small screen as they continue to create records on television too.

Baaghi starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor, on its global television premiere in 2016, recorded the highest TRP ratings and was beaten by NGE’NGE’s mostost celebrated elebrated franchise Housefull starring Akshay Kumar. Coincidentally, with John Abraham – Varun Dhawan starrer Dishoom’s release on TV, the action adventure franchise crossed the record set by Housefull 3.

Interestingly, the most anticipated sequel awaited from the production house is Sajid’s directorial Kick, which had then set many records including its WTV premiere ratings. Looking at the successful multiple franchises he’s been releasing, one can say that Sajid Nadiadwala is one film-maker who understands the pulse of the Indian audience and hits the right chord perfectly.
