Fernandez has been inspiring fitness enthusiasts around the city after she took up pole dancing as a new form of exercise
She is known to be one of the fittest actors in Bollywood and now, Jacqueline Fernandez is getting people hooked to fitness. The actor took up pole dancing for a special song in A Gentleman last year and hasn’t looked back ever since. In fact, she has now taken it up even more seriously.
Jacqueline trains with Roksolana Chubenko, a pole dance instructor. “When she started training, it was a one off thing because she was taking pole dancing classes for the dance number in her movie. But she eventually started enjoying it so much that she continued with it. She even got co-star and good friend Varun Dhawan interested in pole dancing as he recently accompanied her for a session,” a source close to the actor reveals.
“Her social media account is filled with pictures and videos from her pole dancing sessions, and now many young fitness enthusiasts, who are on the lookout for something different and fun to keep themselves fit have taken it up,” adds the source.
Talking about the same, Lana, her instructor says, “Since the time Jacqueline took up pole dancing, people have started resonating with the dance form as a regular fitness regime. She has popularised pole dancing. When I look back, it makes me realise that Jackie has come a long way, as today she performs moves which people with years of training find difficult to perform. All that twirling on a pole requires a lot of core strength and her dedication and commitment to learning is something I truly admire. Even on days when she has been bruised, she wouldn’t want to miss a single class.”
