Ahead of release, Neeraj Pandey’s next voted most awaited film
National Award-winning filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is known for hard-hitting films like A Wednesday (2008), Special 26 (2013) and Baby (2015), among several others. And his upcoming film Aiyaary, an espionage thriller, which is set to release this week, is already made it to the top of the Most Anticipated Indian Movies list on movie data base, IMDB.
Aiyaary showcases the story of a loyal and obedient officer Major Jai Bakshi aka Sidharth Malhotra who idolises his mentor Colonel Abhay Singh aka Manoj Bajpayee, until the two have a major fallout. The trailer reveals this storyline, and already has the audience hooked.
Says Pandey about his film being ranked Number 1, “This is overwhelming. It feels great to be seen as the most awaited film, among films to be released at this time. I hope the audience loves what we have made.” Pandey also calls it his “most layered film” one that took on many more layers than he expected when he started writing it.
The film has an ensemble cast and also stars veteran actors Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah, along with Rakul Preet Singh and Pooja Chopra in pivotal roles.
Reliance Entertainment, Friday Filmworks and Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) present Aiyaary. Produced by Shital Bhatia, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Motion Picture Capital is slated to release on February 16.
