Chitrangda Singh’s dream is to back stories of lesser known defence heroes. The actor’s an army daughter
Right from the start of her Bollywood career, she has been known as one of the most talented female actors in modern-day Bollywood. Now, Chitrangda Singh has started on a new professional journey, that of being a producer, with her debut production that’s based on hockey player Sandeep Singh’s life.
Now, we have learnt that one of Chitrangda’s biggest dreams is to “produce a film based on the story of an unknown hero”. “She is keen to work on a lesser known valour story. She comes from an army background. Her father had served in the Indian army. She has grown up listening to stories of war heroes from her father, a retired army colonel,” says an insider.
Chitrangda’s spokesperson confirms the news. “Yes, it’s true that Chitrangda has grown up listening to valiant stories of army officers as she herself comes from an army background. It is one of her dreams to bring such inspirational stories on the celluloid for the audiences.”
For now, the actor is happy to have turned producer. Other female actors such as Priyanka Chopra and

Anushka Sharma have also taken to producing films.
Chitrangda will next be seen opposite Saif Ali Khan in Baazaar and Sanjay Dutt in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3. She also has joined the panel of judges for a kids’ dance reality show.
