TIGER’S NEW ACTION AVATAR!
In a bid to take his action outing a step further in Baaghi 2, actor Tiger Shroff learnt different forms of martial arts and using weaponry
He surely has carved a niche for himself, owing to his action hero avatar. In fact, Tiger Shroff — who has always been a martial arts expert — took to new challenges in a bid to take his action outing “a step further” in Sajid Nadiadwala’s next, Baaghi 2. For the same, the actor learnt different forms of martial arts and mastered the art of weaponry.
“The film required much more from Tiger than usual, so he learnt various forms of martial arts along with other training regimen for action sequences. Since the makers wanted to enhance the action quotient in a stylish avatar in the second instalment, Tiger had to go through vigorous training to attain the planned results,” says an insider.
When contacted, Tiger said, “Physically, my character demanded me to carry a lot of muscle, so I went for a number of action workshops, martial arts and gymnastics training with fight masters and my team. We had a great team and of course, Ahmed sir (Ahmed Khan; director) who is an allrounder in the film — from direction and acting to overlooking the action, as well as the choreography.”
Calling it the “most challenging action schedule of my life”, Tiger says, “The climax sequence is about 15 to 16 minutes long and it’s pure action so that really took a lot off me.” Ahmed Khan, on his part, is “very happy to have Tiger shooting the action sequences. He says, “It has been good to have Tiger because then there is nothing to fear.”
