It was a simple post, but it has connected me to all my fans and friends so wonderfully. I feel only gratitude and contentment. HRITHIK ROSHAN ACTOR

Hrithik Roshan has always been a doting father to his sons. On his firstborn Hrehaan’s birthday on March 28, the actor posted a motivating video with a “universal message” on his Twitter page, which was about not letting fear take over one’s chance to be successful.

In the video, Hrithik recites a verse written by him. “His idea was to encourage people to not be afraid and instead do something different, and move ahead in life. Looking at the response it has received, it’s clear that everyone can personally relate to the message,” says an insider.

Hrithik, through his words, believes that “there will be problems in life” which would “make things complex and demotivate you”, but it is “important to face the challenges and convert weaknesses into strengths”.

He also brings instances from his own childhood into the poem. At one point, he explains how fear could have easily persuaded a man born with six fingers that he’d never become an actor.

As soon as Hrithik, who’s currently shooting for the film Super 30, shared the video, it got a tremendous response — the post went viral, and fans and friends from Bollywood praised the actor for sharing the message. Last year, too, he had spread the message to “keep going, come what may and not give up”.

When contacted, Hrithik told us, “The seed, the idea got planted in my head. Then, I allowed it to take shape before letting it flow out. That’s all. It’s amazing [to see] what happens if you start with a simple step. I guess the message is an outcome of multiple experiences in my life. It was a simple post, but it has connected me to all my fans and friends so wonderfully. I feel only gratitude and contentment.”
