When Shraddha bonded with dahi handi champs!
She is known to be extremely caring towards her near-and-dear ones as well as her staff and entourage. But earlier this week, Shraddha Kapoor’s caring side was on full display as she shot for an ad film in Chembur, Mumbai.
“In the ad, her co-stars were a group consisting of seven children, and all of them were girls. Shraddha had a really great time shooting with the kids, and was surprised to know that the group was the winner of many dahi handi competitions (a team sport during the festival known as Gokulashtami in Maharashtra, and Krishna Janmashtami in the rest of the country),” says an insider close to the actor.
Shraddha was “very keen” to know more about the girls’ group and how they were formed, etc. and even congratulated them for their seven victories at dahi handi competitions. Sources inform that since the actor spent a lot of time — shooting as well as chatting — with the group, she became “really fond” of them.
“By now, Shraddha is used to the shooting hours and other things that come with it, so she ensured that the little ones were looked after in every manner as they were facing cameras for the first time. She even made sure that the girls got regular breaks — for food and evening snacks — to make them feel comfortable and at ease,” says the insider.
Apparently, the girls were also overheard chatting with Shraddha in Marathi. “Since the actor is proficient in the language, she also indulged in the banter and interacted with them during the breaks. The girls told her they were her fans. Shraddha, on her part, loved their simplicity and innocence,” adds the insider.
Workwise, Shraddha is currently busy shooting for three movies — Batti Gul Meter Chaalu, Stree and Saaho.
