A sparkling walk to boost gender equality
Forevermark, a diamond brand from the De Beers Group Of Companies, promoted gender equality and displayed its Red Carpet Collection 2018 through a fashion show at the Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai.
Acknowledging the brand’s three-year partnership with the United Nations, 20 women supporting the cause, walked the ramp. Filmmaker, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, promoter of menstrual hygiene through the NGO, Save & Empower the Girl Child, Lucky Morani, lawyer Mrunalini Deshmukh, actor Taapsee Pannu, architect Soudamani Savant and fitness enthusiast, Mala Mansukhani also graced the runway.
An investment of $3 million (over ` 20 crores) was made by the De Beers Group of Companies to empower women in their diamond producing countries, across their business and marketing campaigns. Global Thematic Champion and CEO of the De Beers Group of Companies, Bruce Cleaver addressed the audience.
The runway was taken over by models as they flaunted the Red Carpet 2018 collection consisting of chandelier earrings, bracelets, palm jams, cocktail rings and statement necklaces all expertly crafted with
Forevermark diamonds. Some of the retailers whose jewellery was showcased at the fashion show included Anmol Jewellers, AS Motiwala, BR Designs, Lagu Bandhu, Manek Gem Art International, OM Jewellers, Orra, Mehta and Sons, Narayan Jewellers and Rose.
