Meet the super six from this cool band

The most talked about band in India today is more special because of their special gifts. Aptly calling their band Isspeshal 6, these six teenagers might have what the world would call a debilitating learning or physical disability, but their musical talent has broken all societal stereotypes.

Conceptualised by Ashish Patil of Y-Films, this project hopes to affect positive social change through the inspiring stories of the band members.

Ananya Harlankar suffers from autism spectrum disorder, but is a lively girl. Her deep, melodious voice can work magic. At 15, she beats a disadvantage with her pitch perfect singing.

Maitreya Matale is 15, and also has autism spectrum disorder. He likes to call himself Maitreya Man after his hero, Spider-Man. If the world had more superheroes like him, it would be a much better place to live in.

Rishaan Patil, 12, is the youngest and funniest member of the 6 Pack Band Version 2.0. The pre-teen’s autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder are no match for his comic skills!

Anjali Ramesh deals with dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia at 15. A fantastic self-trained dancer, she is the magnet that keeps the 6 Pack Band Version 2.0 together.

Parth Padhye is quite the charmer, making the ladies swoon with his voice. He’s a dancer, all at the young age of 15, despite having semantic pragmatic learning disorder. When on stage, he owns it.

The most inspiring bandmate is the 18-year old Prerna Agarwal. She has autism spectrum disorder and 100% blindness, but she overcomes these challenges with her unusually powerful hearing ability. She was probably just born a singer.

Inspiring aren’t they?
