Vikas Gupta and Parth Samthaan bury the hatchet

- Kavita Awaasthi n kavita.awaasthi@htlive.com

In 2016, Parth Samthaan had accused his good friend and producer Vikas Gupta of sexual molestation which the latter denied. Soon after, a slugfest began with both parties dissing each other in public. Things turned ugly when they filed police complaints against each other. Vikas and Parth were supposedly in a relationship but Parth denied any such association. Even Ekta Kapoor spoke up confessing that they were in a relationship, which ended badly. But after two years, the once-sworn-enemies have decided to let go of their animosity and move on. At composer Palash Muchhal’s birthday party, they met and chatted and even put up a selfie with few friends on social media indicating everything was fine between the two. Ask Vikas what led to the patch-up and he says, “Parth called me a few weeks ago and he wanted to meet me. He wanted to let go of all the negativity and past grudges. Though I have moved on in my life, I wanted closure as there was a lot of negativity related to this. It made sense to forget whatever happened.” Parth says, “We had spoken earlier and when we met at the party, everything fell into place. It’s been a long time since we had those issues, and we realised that there is no need to be so negative. Let’s just be positive, move on, and be happy. We talked it out and solved whatever problems we had. We don’t have to show anyone that we were friends once, and then we became enemies, and now are back to being friends again. We want to be positive. Whatever controversies were created and whatever misunderstandings we had, we cleared that. Henceforth, we don’t have to think negative about each other. Let bygones be bygones.”
