No body double for Saqib Saleem

Actor Saqib Saleem, known for his work in films such as Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge (2011), Mere Dad Ki Maruti (2013), and Dishoom (2016), will soon be seen performing daredevil action sequences for the first time in his career in Race 3.

According to a source, the film, which also features Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Bobby Deol, among others, will see Saqib performing all his action sequences himself.

The source says, “Saqib is in great shape and wanted to perform the action sequences without using a body double. The actor pulled off dangerous stunts involving car chase sequences while shooting for the film at Abu Dhabi, much to the surprise of the makers and his co-stars.”

The source adds that to ensure safety, Saqib diligently studied and followed safety measures, and also practised several times before performing the action scenes.

Talking about it, Saqib says, “I grew up watching movies in the action and thriller genres, and I always wanted to execute action scenes on my own on the big screen. Race 3 is a special film and it was a great experience shooting the car chase action sequences, among other parts, in Abu Dhabi.”
