Saif’s juggling act

Saif Ali Khan has been shooting non-stop for his next untitled movie, a Navdeep Singh directorial venture. The filming, which kicked off in Rajashthan, has now been scheduled to go on in Mehboob Studio, Mumbai. Now Saif is doubling down by putting in extra hours, so that he can wrap up the schedule on time. After that, it’s holiday time — the actor will take a short trip to Europe with his family, wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and son Taimur.

“Saif is shooting for straight 12 to 15 hours every day, beyond the time allotted for the film, just for a quick getaway with Kareena and Taimur,” says a source. “The actor has always maintained that he believes in prioritising work and family equally. Also since Veere Di Wedding has been released, Kareena has decided to take some time off. Once the couple is back from their European sojourn, Saif will dive into promotions for his first web series (helmed by Anurag Kashyap for an online streaming channel), and then shoot a song for Baazaar. Alongside, he’ll begin work on the second season of the web show,” says the source.

Saif, who couldn’t be reached for a comment, had told HT earlier, “This is the place where you work, and live your life elsewhere... I love working here (Bollywood). Maybe I will attend some parties for some wonderful people I know. Otherwise, I give a lot of importance to my personal life because that will stay. And, I’ve got to enjoy it as well. It could all end tomorrow. I don’t want to have not done anything or not gone anywhere. Life goes by pretty fast.” pooja.sharma@htlive.com
