Ravi Dubey loves the old saying, ‘when you change the way you look at things, things that you look at change’. The Jamai Raja actor believes that the universe is tilted in his favour and that everything that has happened in his life has contributed to his growth. He posts selfies almost everyday on his Instagram stories tagging them with the hashtags “predeclare” and “pregratitude”.

He explains, “I started using these hastags when I began hosting Rising Star Season 2. The idea behind the hashtags was to put my psyche and conditioning at everything, so that I would believe that everything will turn out alright. We all feel anxious sometimes, so I coined the term predeclare with the idea that I was predeclaring that everything will orient itself to cumulative success for everyone on the sets. nervous. I am not a realist at all. In fact, I would call myself an obsessive optimist. You won’t be able to convince me that there’s anything wrong with my space. If you are connected to that frequency at all times, you only look at life from a positive angle.”

In an interview, his wife Sargun Mehta mentioned that due to nepotism, outsiders don’t get enough chances in Bollywood. Ravi agrees with his wife and says, “I think if one looks out, there are more choices available as opposed to dearth of choices if you look at a close circle of actors. There can be a mutually benefitting relationship between actors and film-makers if talent is given utmost importance. I feel really good when I see Rajkummar Rao or Irrfan doing well in films. On the other hand, we have Varun Dhawan and Ranbir Kapoor, who belong to film families and are still excellent actors. Sometimes, we lose good talent on account of collateral damage. We should look for talent, irrespective of from where they come from.”
